This project is about developing low tech recycling machines. These machines enable entrepreneurs in developing countries to make a living by upcycling local plastic waste sources. One of the examples is a low cost tile making machine, creating marble like tiles from old bottles. The first successful pilots were done in Angola. Currently Squarry is used in Angola, Cape Verde and many new locations are on the radar.
For more information about our adventure in Cape Verde, check out our blog. The possibilities for low tech recycling in Sierra Leone are also investigated. Details on our visit and research we’ll be available soon.
